1.8 MW Wind Power Project in Tamil Nadu, India

0

The CDM project activity involves the installation of three Wind Turbine Generators (WTGs) with a total capacity of 1.8 MW for renewable electricity generation using wind energy. The project is located at Mallegoundenpalayam village, Palladam Taluk, Tirupur district, Tamil Nadu, and is connected to the Tamil Nadu State Electricity Board (TNEB) grid. Being a greenfield project, no power generation facility previously existed at the site. In the absence of this project, equivalent electricity would have been supplied to the Southern Grid predominantly through fossil fuel-based sources.
