The facility includes the power plant of 24MW in total generating capacity with the 180W*108,864 pieces and 200W*21,792 pieces of supplied 17.1% efficiency. The project produces about 34,510 MWh per year and achieves an average annual emission reduction of 21,037 tCO₂ over ten years.

DONG YANG ENERGY is responsible for the practical operation and management of this project, and ECOEYE supports the issuance of carbon credits. ECOEYE is a company that develops carbon credits not only in the Republic of Korea but also in various types of projects around the world.

The main goals of the project are to:

• reduce the greenhouse gas emission in Korea.
• utilize no greenhouse emission photovoltaic power to contribute to sustainable development of local communities.

Contribution of the project activity to sustainable development

Environmental:

• The photovoltaic power plant replaces coal-fired power plants and contributes to the national reduction of GHG emissions.
• The plant contributes toward improving the quality of air and creating better living conditions nationwide by reducing air pollution.

• The project can diversify sources of electric generation and improves power generation technology.
• The project contributes to the revitalization of the local energy industry with the cooperation of local governments.
