Varam Power Projects (P) Ltd is a 6MW independent biomass based power plant at Chilakapalem Village, Andhra Pradesh, India.

We are currently using agro based residues (biomass) like rice husk, ground nut shell, sugarcane baggasse, casurina stick, jute stick, corn cob, wood residues and others as fuel. We export the generated electricity to the state-owned power utility company named Andhra Pradesh Transmission Corporation (APTRANSCO), helping to green the electricity grid offered in the state.

Biomass energy projects generate heat and/or electricity by combusting organic matter. The energy produced powers and heats homes and industries, often using waste that would have otherwise been left to decay, releasing methane into the atmosphere and added bulk to landfills.
