Contribution of the project activity to sustainable development

The project activity contributes towards sustainable development in the following ways:

Environmental well-being: This project is estimated to reduce annual emissions by a remarkable 8,507 tonnes of CO2 equivalent, making a substantial contribution to combat climate change.

Social well-being: The project activity leads to alleviation of poverty by generating additional employment, removal of social disparities and contribution to provision of basic amenities to people leading to improvement in quality of life of people in Rawra Village.

Technological well-being: The project activity uses solar PV technology for electricity generation, which is environmentally safe. The success of the project will help in replication of technology and promote the generation of green power in the region. This project's spread will contribute to technological growth related to the harnessing of solar energy for power generation in Rajasthan.
