The Rudong County Wind Farm Project is a 100MW onshore wind farm project located in Rudong along the Huangshai Sea coastline of the Jiangsu province in China. The project includedes 50 wind turbines, each carrying an installed capacity of 2 MW.
The project is a clean and sustainable source of electricity which replaces the energy generated by the pollutive Jiangsu Power Grid. This way it reduces annually 173,214 metric tonnes of CO2.
In addition, the project has been a starting point of a sustainable movement. As the energy consumption in the Jiangsu area and entire China has been increasing, this wind farm project has been established to provide a more sustainable way to meet the increasing demand of electricity by providing clean energy.
Finally the project creates employment opportunities for local communities as over 30 individuals are concerned with the daily operation of the project. Therefore the project contributes to the economical development of the Jiangsu area as well.
