Polaris Renewable Energy Inc. ("Polaris") is dedicated to the acquisition, development, and operation of renewable energy projects in Latin America. As a high-performing and financially sound company, we are a key contributor to the energy transition. Our commitment to sustainability is deeply embedded in our business strategy and corporate values. Polaris operates the San Jacinto-Tizate Geothermal Power Plant (72MW) in the municipality of Telica, department of León, Nicaragua. The project includes two modular condensing turbines of 38.5MW each. Steam is directed to the turbines, while geothermal water is channeled to injection wells. The first unit began operations in January 2012, followed by the second unit in February 2013.
