The initiative is designed to generate clean, renewable electricity from solar energy, displacing approximately 8,253 MWh of electricity annually from the Southern regional grid, which is predominantly powered by fossil fuels. As a result, the project is expected to achieve annual greenhouse gas emission reductions of approximately 8,102 tCO₂e.

The project contributes to sustainable development across four key dimensions:

The implementation of the project has generated employment opportunities for the local population during construction, commissioning, and ongoing operations. The increased site activity has attracted skilled professionals and industry stakeholders to the region, positively influencing the local economy and strengthening community engagement.

The project has created both temporary and permanent jobs, contributing to economic development in the surrounding area. Enhanced electricity availability has improved the quality of life and supported the socio-economic advancement of local communities.

Harnessing solar energy, the project eliminates reliance on fossil fuels and produces zero direct greenhouse gas emissions. It operates with minimal impact on land, air, water, and soil resources, ensuring environmentally responsible development without adverse ecological effects.
