Each offsetting unit mitigates a tonne of carbon dioxide emission. The offsetting units arise from Project CDM02801 in the United Nations – Clean Development Mechanism framework. The project “Achieves the catalytic reduction of N2O via Rashtriya Chemicals & Fertilizers Ltd, India.” The abatement of N2O is critical to mitigating Climate Change.
