Peterson Group Ltd is for retirement on the company’s own behalf. The units were sourced by Highland Carbon Ltd. Each offsetting unit mitigates a tonne of carbon dioxide emission. The Ba Thuoc 1 hydropower project has been developed by Hoang Anh Thanh Hoa Hydroelectric Joint Stock Company of Viet Nam. This ‘run-of-river’ hydropower project is situated in Thiet Ke commune, Ba Thuoc District, Thanh Hoa Province in the north-central region of Viet Nam. Highland Carbon has won the award for the ‘Best UK Carbon Credit Supplier’ for 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024. Highland Carbon was described by the British Chambers of Commerce as an "inspirational UK businesses working on innovative green solutions” during the lead up to COP28.
