The project activity is located at Kutch and Lalpur site in Kutch & Jamnagar district respectively, in the state of Gujarat, India. The nearest railway station and airport for Kutch site is Rajkot and the nearest railway station and airport for Lalpur site is Jamnagar.
Vish Wind Infrastructure LLP (VWIL) is leading the way in sustainable energy with its 50.4 MW wind power project, strategically located at the Kutch and Lalpur sites in the Kutch and Jamnagar districts of Gujarat, India. The project comprises 63 Enercon E-53 Wind Energy Converters (WECs), each with a capacity of 800 KW.
Annually, the project generates approximately 106,696.80 MWh of clean electricity, contributing significantly to India's power grid and addressing the demand-supply gap in Gujarat. By harnessing wind energy, VWIL supports sustainable growth, conserves natural resources, and reduces reliance on conventional energy sources.
Furthermore, the project plays a crucial role in mitigating climate change by mitigating approximately 101,234 tonnes of carbon dioxide equivalent (tCO₂e) emissions annually. This substantial reduction underscores VWIL's commitment to India's renewable energy goals, fostering a greener and more sustainable future.
Benefits of Renewable Energy Projects
The VWIL project goes beyond clean energy generation. It actively promotes sustainable development through:
Social Well-being:
Infrastructure Development: The project led to the development of supporting infrastructure such as road networks, improving access for the local population and enhancing their quality of life.
Poverty Alleviation: By establishing direct and indirect benefits through employment generation and improved economic activities, the project helped alleviate poverty in the region.
Energy Access: The project provided access to electricity through the local grid, improving living standards and creating opportunities for industries and economic activities in the area.
Environmental Well-being:
Renewable Energy Source: Utilizing wind energy instead of fossil fuels reduced greenhouse gas emissions and mitigated air and water pollution, promoting a healthier environment.
Resource Conservation: Wind energy, being renewable and sustainable, contributed to the conservation of natural resources.
Economic Well-being:
Employment Opportunities: The project created both temporary and permanent jobs, benefiting the local workforce and economy.
Improved Electricity Grid: Feeding electricity into the local grid enhances its reliability and availability, attracting industries and stimulating economic development in the region.
